I will stop contributing 435 and 3140. For 435, it is because the future of HK is very uncertain. I do not want to bet on it. For 3140, it is because Vanguard will quit the HK market, which is a surprise for me. I sold some of it because of the same reason. The money will be invested to VOO on a monthly basis.

August Expenses 2020
Hello, everyone!
I am Jerry, the author of this blog! The pandemic is still with us in HK, but the situation is much better compared with that of last month. I stayed at home for work 3 days per week.
Anyways, here comes the expenses of August:
Money for my family and GF: $22444.4
Food& Beverages: $266
Transportation: $113.1
Phone: $399.25
Personal growth: $645.07
Miscellaneous: $276
TOTAL: $24027.82
I didn't spend any money on entertainments or games AGAIN! Very great! On the other hand, I spent quite a lot on personal growth this month, but I think some are not worth it. For example, I joined some investment seminars which are not very useful for me.
What about you? How much did you spend in August? Please let me know by commenting below! See you next time!

July Expenses 2020
Hello, everyone!
I am Jerry, the author of this blog! The second and third wave of virus is still on-going. My company allows me to work from home 4 days/ week. I only need to go to office once a week.
Anyways, here comes the expenses of July:
Money for my family and GF: $17444.4
Food& Beverages: $532
Transportation: $187.8
Phone: $399.25
Personal growth: $496.67
Miscellaneous: $2561.9
TOTAL: $21622.02
I didn't spend any money on entertainments or games this month. Well done, Jerry! Yet, I paid for the dinner of my family gathering which cost me around $2000. I think this money is well spent. Everyone, especially my grandma, was happy that night. Other expenses were low because I stayed at home most of the time this month.

Monthly Investment Plan - US stocks 8/8/2020
I didn't update this part of my portfolio for a long time because I didn't invest any of my money until a recent time. I did some trading. I won some money and lost some money. Then I realise trading stocks is not really my thing. It is exciting, but it hurts my mind and hard-earned capitals. Therefore, I restarted this long term investment plan. You can see the portfolio now is more balanced. I plan to have more tech ETF and precious metal ETFs later, but I will stop contribute to VOO since I am contributing 3140 in the HK stock market. I hope this portfolio will bring me average 10% capital gain every year in the long run.

Monthly Investment Plan - HK Property stocks 8/7/2020
I will stop contributing to 823 and observe its performance for a while, but I won't sell it now. Its fundamentals still look good if the impact of the pandemic is excluded. For 435, I will stop contributing when I collected 3000 shares. As for 12 and 16, I will stop contributing when I collected a complete lot of shares. They are good companies and cheap now, but in the long run they will likely lose to those technology related China company.

Monthly Investment Plan - HK ETF 8/7/2020
The second wave of the pandemic is hitting Hong Kong, but the stock market is more optimistic due to many China factors. I will continue to contribute these two ETFs and I am looking forward to 9988 becoming a HSI stock in August.
